Course Structure

What will I do?

To become a scuba diver, you need to demonstrate that you're comfortable in water and have some basic swimming skills. Your instructor will have you float/tread water for 10 minutes - nothing extreme, just enough to determine you have basic swimming abilities.

Open Water manual

Throughout the course you will learn the essentials of scuba diving through a combination of theory and practical sessions in the pool and the ocean. You earn this rating by completing:

- 3 (three) pool dives and knowledge development sessions.

- 2 (two) open water (ocean) dives.

*The ocean dives can be done at the beach. However many students choose to upgrade their dive experience with a boat trip.

How long will it take?

Normally 2 days*

*PADI programs are performance based. You proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. This allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. Scuba Training Philippines has a variety of schedules to meet most individuals needs. We offer private courses for those who want a more personal experience in learning to dive.

How long do I have to complete the course?

12 months from date of commencement, however we strongly encourage students to complete their course within 2 months.

You can complete your course in one go or spread out your dives over a few months. Please speak to an Instructor to create a basic schedule.
